HANDS IN SPACE—
Hands-on Innovation Seminar for Educators
 

The Astronomy Institute of Maine partnered with the Maine Great Schools Project at the George Mitchell Institute to pilot a Hands in Space seminar for educators. Our goal was to provide a memorable practical learning experience that could be adapted to a diverse array of topics and age groups, by communicating the feel of hands-on innovation.

By focusing on core features of the hands-on form of inquiry science, the project resulted in a highly-rated seminar. In the words of the event's organizer, " Mr. Homer hit a home run."
